Ecobuildtec is a "Contech" startup that develops and markets prefabricated housing and modules designed to assist the mining, oil and other industries in providing housing facilities in extreme environments. With a high environmental impact in the construction process of these quick-assembly homes. Likewise, Ecobuildtec 's fundamental purpose is to address one of the most significant concerns in the construction field: the shortage of decent housing and recreational areas for the development of families in low-income areas.
This is how we came up with the idea of using our recovered material by applying circular economy strategies and naming it Project 4 x 1 , thus becoming a company that makes donations as a business model, generating new products that contribute to the communities and in turn take care of the environment.
4 X 1 Project - SOCIAL HOUSING
The 4 x 1 Project consists of the sale of a housing standard for the mining sector ( Ecko I ), to have the possibility of donating a home or common space for the surrounding communities or families in extreme poverty that do not have decent housing through the use of the waste from the Ecko I or Megalodons .
Objective For every 4 m2 of Ecko I housing SOLD, we will donate 1 m2 until we obtain a home for families who need it most.
PROBLEM TO ADDRESS
The housing shortage in the country seriously affects vulnerable families, with an alarming figure of 1,600,000 insufficient homes. This problem is aggravated by the fact that 65% of these families are forced to resort to self-construction of their homes, a process that involves a significant delay of more than 18 weeks to complete the progressive construction with noble materials. The prolonged duration of the self-construction process contributes directly to the persistence of the housing shortage, highlighting the urgency of implementing effective solutions to address this crisis that affects the most vulnerable communities in the country.
Families living in remote areas of the country also face equally significant challenges in relation to their housing. Many of these residences are not suitable for withstanding high temperatures, as they are built with improvised and fragile materials. In addition, these communities are more exposed to the risks of natural disasters. The combination of vulnerable housing and extreme weather conditions further aggravates the situation, increasing the need to implement adequate measures to address both the general housing deficit and the specific conditions of these remote areas.
